This Abuse Policy explains how Wicked Robot Development (“Wicked Robot Development”, “we”, “us”) handles reports of abuse, illegal activity, security incidents, intellectual property claims, and other misuse of our services. The policy applies to wickedrobot.dev, all hosting accounts, domains, email, and related services.

What is Abuse

  • Activities that harm other users, our network, or third parties, including malware distribution, phishing, spam, DDoS attacks, botnets, account takeover, credential stuffing, and scanning or probing intended to find vulnerabilities.
  • Hosting or distributing illegal content, infringing copyrighted material, unauthorized financial services, pirated software, or content that violates applicable laws.
  • High‑risk resource abuse that destabilizes shared infrastructure (sustained heavy CPU, memory, I/O, mining, large file‑storage or CDN‑style workloads on shared plans).
  • SMTP abuse, bulk unsolicited email, and attempts to evade anti‑spam protections.
  • Use of our platform to facilitate fraud, money‑laundering, ransomware, or other criminal acts.

How to Report Abuse

  • Send a detailed report to abuse@wickedrobot.dev. For copyright infringement DMCA notices, email abuse@wickedrobot.dev with “DMCA” in the subject line.
  • Provide as much of the following as possible:
    • Nature of the abuse and a short description.
    • Exact URL(s), domain(s), IP address(es), or account identifiers involved.
    • Date and time (UTC) of the incident and time zone.
    • Full email headers for spam or phishing complaints.
    • Logs, screenshots, packet captures, or other forensic data demonstrating the abuse.
    • Contact information for follow up and whether you are the complainant or a representative.
  • If the issue is an active security incident or attack (DDoS, live malware, ongoing phishing), mark the subject “URGENT” and include timestamps and any mitigation steps you have taken.

What we do When Abuse is Reported

  • We acknowledge receipt of valid abuse reports and will assign a ticket for investigation. Where reasonably possible we will respond to initial reports within three business days.
  • We will investigate reports and, when required to protect our platform or other customers, take corrective actions that may include: throttling traffic, disabling offending processes, suspending mail relays, taking sites or accounts offline, blocking IPs, or terminating service.
  • We may reset credentials, suspend access, remove malicious files, or require remediation steps before restoring service.
  • For verified criminal activity or when compelled by law, we will cooperate with law enforcement and may disclose account information pursuant to legal process.

Evidence & Verification

  • We rely on concrete evidence when investigating reports. Vague or unsupported claims may delay action. Submissions that include headers, logs, packet captures, and preserved content are processed faster.
  • We may request additional information from reporters or account holders to verify the complaint. We will not act on anonymized or unsubstantiated accusations without supporting evidence, except where immediate action is necessary to protect other users.

DMCA, Copyright, & Takedown Process

  • Copyright owners or their authorized agents should submit a DMCA takedown notice to abuse@wickedrobot.dev with the required statutory information. We will process notices in accordance with applicable law.
  • We will notify the account holder identified as hosting the alleged infringing material and may remove or disable access to the content pending resolution. Counter‑notices will be processed where applicable and in accordance with law. Repeat infringers may have accounts suspended or terminated.

Email & Spam Handling

  • For spam and phishing, provide full email headers and sample message content. We will analyze headers, trace the sending source, and take action against compromised accounts or offending IPs.
  • Bulk sending from shared plans requires prior approval and may be restricted to designated mail services or add‑ons. Unauthorized bulk mailing from shared environments will be blocked.

Abuse Involving Third Parties & Networks

  • If abuse originates from third‑party infrastructure (upstream providers, registrars, or transit networks), we will notify the appropriate network owners and take steps to mitigate while coordinating with those providers.
  • For domain registration abuse or registrar issues, we may forward complaints to the registrar or registry as necessary.

Enforcement & Remediation

  • Enforcement actions may be temporary (suspension, quarantine, throttling) or permanent (termination) depending on severity, recurrence, and risk. We will attempt to provide remediation instructions and a timeline where feasible.
  • Accounts may be required to provide proof of remediation, change passwords, rotate keys, or migrate to a dedicated plan for high‑resource or high‑risk workloads.

Appeals & Disputes

  • If you are a customer who disagrees with an enforcement action, contact support@wickedrobot.dev with your account details, ticket number, evidence of remediation, and a concise explanation. We will review the action and respond with next steps.
  • Appeals are reviewed in the order received; urgent security matters may be prioritized for safety reasons.

Data Retention & Privacy

  • We retain abuse reports, investigation logs, and related evidence as needed to investigate, remediate, and comply with legal obligations. Personal data shared in reports is handled per our Privacy Policy.
  • We will disclose account information to third parties only as required by law or as necessary to investigate and remediate the abuse.

Proactive Notifications & Transparency

  • For material incidents affecting multiple customers (major outages, platform compromises), we will post status updates via our status page and notify affected customers by email when available.
  • We may publish anonymized summaries of abuse trends and remediation guidance to help customers protect themselves.

Emergency Contacts & Law Enforcement Requests

  • Law enforcement seeking expedited preservation or emergency disclosure should contact abuse@wickedrobot.dev and include official credentials and legal process details. We will coordinate with law enforcement following applicable laws and internal procedures.

Exceptions & Approved Activities

  • High‑volume or specialized uses (bulk email, high I/O file services, financial services, regulated activities) may be allowed only with prior written approval and appropriate plan or dedicated infrastructure. Contact sales@wickedrobot.dev to request approval and describe your use case.

Changes to this Policy

  • We may update this Abuse Policy periodically. The effective date at the top will reflect the last revision. Continued use of our Services after changes to this Policy constitutes acceptance.
